I would argue that support for people becoming as educated as
they can possibly take advantage of is unservedly a good thing
in a rational society. The more well educated citzens are the
better for the country and for the economy and for (hopefully)
the level of sanity in the culture.

I don't see why being a good party school has anything

to do with the question. Some of the best part schools
are private and receive no government or other non-private
funding.
