Could you be a little more specific regarding the main topic of this
support? (The discussion about violent femmes? The discussion about
supposed wage disparities between women and men?)

I've heard that some traditions benefit men, but traditions that benefit
women far outweigh IMO. It does seem like women want equal rights, but not
at the expense of equal responsibilities - i.e., women want rights on par
with men, but no-no-no don't want to give up the privileges women have
enjoyed in the past.

I don't know ... I can only tell you that ever since I can remember, I've
felt privileged being a female (way before women's lib) - of course, I say
this as someone who has never lived in countries where women are considered
chattel.

Women have it made over men from birth to death. I have a brother, husband,
son, two grandsons - and many other men in my life whom I love (women, too,
of course). I wish there was more equality, but some things - like men
dying at a younger age than women - cannot exactly be legislated away. But
maybe ... in the future ...

O.
