CALMEC has them now. They are based on single-molecule chirality flip.
The problem is that you have to use a relatively large number of them
to write and read the signals (I think they are using lasers). So
the problem depends how small you can make the lasers and how accurately
you can position them. Its the same problem that DVDs have in storing
more information.
