List member Charles Stross' short story Lobsters has been nominated for
a Hugo award. It is available for free online at
http://www.asimovs.com/_issue_0206/Lobsters.html.

The story in places reads like an Extropian chat room come to life.
It's got a spectacular post-cyberpunk style (extropunk?) that was a little
modern for my taste, and some semi-non-consensual sex at the end made me
uncomfortable. But they're uplaoding lobsters, the Andromeda galaxy is
70% sapient mass, and one of your biggest worries is having your sensorium
crash when you get slashdotted. It's a colorful pre-singularity world.
Kudos to Charlie and thanks for making the story available.

Hal
