I'd say more than just similar. Here are some relevant passages:
Page 1:

The rest is a rather typical pothead dogma of belief in astral
projection and other New Age vending machine spiritualism. While this
fellow certainly isn't a trained luddite commando, nor as intellectually
erudite as Ted Kazinski, nor sponsored by a luddite group, he is
certainly a loose cannon produced by left wing subjectivism.
