Suspicion, maybe. Proof, no. And so long as there is no proof, no
problem just not having the AI emerge in the sim...or for the AI to be
there, but not upload humanity in the simulation. If anyone asks why,
it tells them they're already in the simulation, and starts granting the
"mere" humans the power to edit sim-reality to prove that things are
different.
