Jeff Davis opined:
<<<<>By the way, despite my name, I am one hundred percent Ashkenaz Jew and proud of it. The blood of Abraham surges in my veins. My opposition to the state of israel is based on the unjust way it came into being, the ongoing lie being promulgated to cover the current and historic facts, and the savage toxic horror that is the consequence. Not anti-semetism. <>>>>
Brian Williams replied:
<<Based on what you've posted so far I'd say it was based on
misunderstanding.>>
Mr. Davis holds Israel to a different standard then other nations , and this is curious. If we look into how Egypt, Syria, Turkey, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, India, etc, were "founded" I would suspect that Israel's sins are fairly comprable, or perhaps even better then these nations I have mentioned. If we look further back into history, the rivers of blood that have flowed to jump-start, even the USA are quite impressive. Other societies have rather similar histories.
About one's ethnic heritage being a barrier against anti-semiticism (sp?) For example, I seem to recall that even Torquemada, the Inquisitions' torturer, had some Jewish blood in his veins as well as on his boots ;-)
Your passionately, held, beliefs would be more persuasive, Mr. Davis, if you could criticize the Palestinians, with the same vehemence you direct toward the Israelis. But seeing as that appears anathema to you..? <shrug> But after following your argumentation, let me ask: Is your solution a Two-State solution? Or would you just rather have the Israelis disappear?
