I respectfully disagree. I think discussions of current politics do belong on the list as long as participants focus on extropian solutions to the incredible problems out there. As Anders has said, we must not stick our heads in the sand as the world goes by.
A secondary spinoff list could be used as suggested, but this would take away somewhat from the present group focus.
We can all censor the list ourselves by simply not reading those posts not interesting to us.
