No, I just don't think you've read them thoroughly. An individual
engaging in espionage for the enemy is not considered a civilian, even
if they are unarmed, they are an illegal combatant and subject to
summary execution on the battlefield. Since the news media is generally
sympathetic to the Palestinian cause, and acts as a propaganda front for
Palestinian terrorists, then journalists who are thus engaged in the
combat zone can be considered illegal combatants.
