I've seen several stories of such shootings on the news, and in every
case, it was a situation of a cameraman trying to get a shot of street
action by peeking the camera out a window or over the edge of a
building. If I were a soldier driving down a street where door to door
guerilla fighting was going on, and my life was on the line, you can bet
that anything that resembled an infrared missile seekerhead in a tube
would get my immediate and highly negative attention. I'd rather be
wrong than dead.
