This isn't a stroll down the street, this is war. When a military
force declares an area closed there are two groups there,
themselves and the enemy.
Reporters get soldiers killed all the time, usually by giving their
position away. The fact they were were not trying to cause harm is
irrelevant. Their very presence causes harm.
At the very least they can be considered spies.

Because then the terrorists put tape on themselves saying "T.V."
and by this deception get close enough to kill.
The reporters can do what they want, but the soldiers have every
right to treat them as the enemy (in this situation) they are.
