The hidden assumption here is that you can trust what the task manager is
displaying you. That's a lot to ask for, as the task manager is just a
program, and even current rootkits patch the binaries or exchange them to
not show up in the task list.

None of current @home clients is designed to be stealthy. You might want
to look at Folding@HOME client's priority. Notice that is uses graphics
excessively. It's not designed to restrict itself to nonswappable memory.
I don't see my console based Folding@HOME client under Linux (other than
by 98% nice CPU bar), and it doesn't try to be stealthy either.
