Americans who only skim foreign "news" sources and don't delve deeper
into the editorial pages and other sources of "public opinion" might not
be aware that the last couple of weeks has seen the European press
establishment come out pretty universally against just about every
aspect of U.S. foreign policy. The brief hiatus from the usual
anti-Americanism in the European press after 911 is over. Also as
usual, it will take some time for the majority of US media outlets to
reflect this and for the majority of Americans to become aware of it.
