stays a purely local conflict, it hardly warrants the term. So the less
external parties are embroiled in it, the less the probability of
delocalization of the conflict. The immediate result from this seems to
suggest to not get embroiled in it (apart from exerting political and
economical pressure on both parties, or fullfilling your troop quota in
UN missions, if any).

Unfortunately, the U.S. doesn't seem to restrict itself to merely offering
opinion, nor even to political pressure. I don't know whether Israel
still does have nuclear capabilities, but in case it comes to the worst,
it seems the best strategy is to stay away from where they are used. Even
if none of yours get flash-fried, it would seem to generate enough
political fallout to taint you for many decades.
