Indeed.

Would a SI solve this? Is it more intelligence we need in such
situations?

A close friend is a Jewish writer, right now in Jerusalem in fact (but
usually living in France). He told me that when he was 10 (in 1948),
he wanted that the conflict waits that he turns 18, so that he could
solve it (he did many wonderful things, but he didn't manage to do
that). He said that at the time to her neighbour, a Hungarian Jewish
lady. She said: "What? You want us to wait 8 more years?"
