Hi Shaun,
My strongest suggestion to you in dealing with a severe attack with unknown
consequences is to salvage your data, reformat your hard drive, and reinstall your
OS and applications.
Hopefully your data files aren't infected. If they are, then you might still have
some work to do. If they're not, then you've got a brand-new clean system to work
with.
