I really had to laugh when I read this, Mike. For my 'O' level English
examination final (British System) we were asked to write a short story. My
effort was a Spy Story that told how a secret agent single-handedly gathered
a huge library of intelligence data, encoded it into DNA, injected it into
the living cell of a single hair follicle which he then implanted into his
skull. On the way out of the 'foreign' country he was searched from
head-to-toe, his clothes & baggage were confiscated, etc., but he still got
out with the data "in his head". This was waaaay back in 1981 (cold war and
all that) so the story line might seem a little dated, but hey! I was only
16. The Examiners must have liked the story because, even though I am
certain it was too short, and filled with spelling and grammatical errors,
they still gave me a B+ :-D

Perhaps, more than twenty years later, technology is starting to catch up
with my youthful imagination?

Naaaaah! ;)
