I think its far worse than that. As far as I can see flight
by a nano-enhanced individual on a public air traffic system
seems impossible.
Take the simple respirocyte model where an individual is loaded
with a dose of respirocytes hyperpressurized with O2 to around
100000 atm vs. tne normal 1000 atm. Such devices engineered
with a trigger mechanism that would enable rapid release of the
gas would function very efficiently as a suicide bomb. I
don't see an easy way of detecting this short of loading the body
up with a massive dose of inquiry-bots, and even then I'd have my
doubts if the respirocytes were designed to look like 'normal'
respirocytes.
I can only conclude that the current mode of air travel is
doomed. One will only be able to travel with individuals
whom you can personally verify as trustable.
