In my particular case, I telnet to the WELL from my "personnal"
machine here in Chicago, (NCR 386/SX20) via T-3, and download mail
as ASCII text, reading with LIST.com, and editing with WordPerfect
5.1, which I then re-translate into ASCII. So the wrapping is
automatic, and software related.
As a result posts that exceed 80 characters per line, or those
filled with HTML or base 64 addendums or both, are rarely read.
