A golden chain guards the tiny doorway to the future for Raymond and Monique
Martinot - their immortal love momentarily frozen in time, awaiting the
inevitable day when science ultimately conquers the final insult. Their
capsule of mortar and ingenuity precariously drifting along on the currents
of their uncertain destiny.
A deadly shadow moves closer and then suddenly recoils as if astonished by a
sensation outside it's ancient experience - a singular foreboding as if this
cool cellar might somehow be a trap!
For when news of the lover's plight reached the Extropic Travelers, they
came together as never before in the growing realization that their golden
PR opportunity had indeed arrived. Outside a small cellar in
Neuil-sur-Layon, France, for the first time in recorded history, an
impressive declaration of support for Raymond and Monique Martinot's
immortal dream was read aloud by their son Remy. It included the names and
brief statements of thousands of individuals worldwide - including
scientists, doctors, engineers, philosophers, writers, etc. who believed
that this act must not be permitted. Also included were numerous appended
documents affirming the plausibility of the cryonic perspective AND the
names of EVERY official attempting to perpetuate this double murder.
And the world became most interested.
