I finished Damien's new novel last week and I have to make a brief
reappearance here to heartily endorse it. Unlike the vast majority of
science fiction, Damien's work stands on its own as literature. As a
playful and multi-levelled exploration of themes central to the
extropian world-view and many of the discussions we've had here, the
book is an enjoyable and engrossing read.
