Sounds like a good definition of competence.
I like the definition of intelligence as the ability to solve problems and
correctly answer questions. A competent fungus can achieve a variety of
complex goals in complex environments, with or without the help of an
intelligent mycologist.

We move into a better future in proportion as the scientific method
accurately identifies incorrect thinking.
