In view of Max's limitation request, I'm out of the A-bomb thread. I invite
those interested to Google up names like Eisenhower and Nimitz to see how
they expected Japan to fall, or to try searches like Japanese Emperor
surrender to see what events were actually associated with shifts in their
Cabinet policy.
