I'm glad to see several non-war-related threads back on the list in full
force. However I thought this short article, from the Nov. 22 issue
of _The Economist_, was worth posting a link to. Particularly disturbing
is the final paragraph, where the corrrespondent comments on the failure
of Western intelligence agencies to properly gather evidence and information
in Kabul during the week after the city's fall:
"For the West's intelligence agencies, September 11th was Black Tuesday.
There may be no words with which to describe their failure in the week
since the fall of Kabul."
