Its useful to know who you are dealing with:

Here are some references to "Pat Roy Mooney":
http://www.pwgazette.com/mooney.htm
http://www.rafi.org/web/patbio.html
http://www.biotech-info.net/moratorium.html

Of course Ronald Bailey has a quote from Mooney
in his article here:
http://www.reason.com/rb/rb022801.html

Interestingly enough, RAFI appears to have played
a role in nixing an agreement between Monsanto and
the Grameen bank (Monsanto being cast as the bad guys
and Grameen "normally" being the good guys). See:

http://www.corpwatch.org/trac/corner/worldnews/other/176.html

Of course to achieve this result they seemed to have involved
the World Bank -- those of you who read my discussions
regarding the World Bank's lending requirements several
months ago -- know that they may be more on the bad side
than the good side of the equation.

I think it would be an understatement to say that we have
very thick stew indeed.

Robert
