> Hallucinations are sensory.
Right, all experiences have a sensory component. Consequently, it seems
unnecessarily confrontational to hypothesize "non-sensory" experience.
> And why do you bring up irrelevant mystical
> nonsense like ghosts?
Because it parallels the cognitively irrelevant mystical nonsense of
"non-sensory" experience. Both of these hypotheses are nonsensical, and they
are therefore in the same category.
> Thanks. I feared my example was out of date by now.
Yes, your example of black holes is totally out of date now, because there are
numerous examples of black holes.

Useless hypotheses, etc.:
consciousness, phlogiston, philosophy, vitalism, mind, free will, qualia,
analog computing, cultural relativism, GAC, Cyc, Eliza, cryonics, individual
uniqueness, ego, human values, scientific relinquishment, malevolent AI,
non-sensory experience
We move into a better future in proportion as science displaces superstition.
