How about October of 2002?
This evening I had a sudden burst of thoughts regarding a potential EXTRO-6 conference. I'll keep them to myself for now, and wait for the first coat of paint to dry.
(end)
Great news!! I look forward to attending! I have incredible memories from the last one!! Like everyone, I am curious about where the next one will be held.
My vote is for Anchorage, Alaska. ;) The local college here is host to Extro sized conferences where the guests stay in the dorms. But, the mattresses there could make a strong man cry. lol
Perhaps, with the new insights on how the singularity will come much sooner then later, we should have Extro-16(?) planned for that month(Oct. of 2021). Surely, Extropian minds can predict the date when things are getting close.
Or, it just may come down to asking Brian & Sabine Atkins and Eliezer Yudkowsky, when they will be booting up their seed A.I. program. Then sit back and eat popcorn.
best wishes,
John
