After taking the intro, I began wondering the same thing.

Ja, it reminded me of about 10-12 yrs ago when the hot setup was
for proles to take courses in word processing. Why?

Ja. I risk insulting my classmates, but the truth is I was not
impressed by the quality of students seeking the degree.
When you were in college and you spoke to physics majors
and math majors and to a certain extent engineering and compsci
majors, perhaps you came away with a feeling that these were
mostly smart and interesting people. I didn't get that feeling
when talking to the bioinformatics students. spike
