Thank you for pointing out what too many people overlook. In most cases
suicide is a means of escaping that which is worse than death, and therefore
it does correlate to cowardice. There are exceptions, of course. For instance,
making the final exit when there is no hope of recovery from a terminal
illness, or killing oneself so that others will not be burdened with an
invalid.
