You want to look at ammunition which has relatively flat trajectory at
distance. 30-06 is okay, but on the small end. .300 Winchester Magnum,
.270 Remington, and upward to .416 Rigby, .375 H&H, .458 and .45-70 or
.45-100 have a flatter trajectory at greater range than the 30-06. Any
magnum/belted magnum big game round suitable for safari will generally
be acceptable.
Better yet, get yourself a Barrett Bear .50 semi-automatic rifle and
mount on a 4 or 5 foot tripod (or else rest the factory bipod on the
roof of your truck). The Barrett comes with a scope that has a range
reticle that is accurate out to 3500 yards.
No shot at a crop duster with a chem/bio weapon on board will occur much
less than 300-500 yards (if it does, you can kiss your behind goodbye)
