Yes, our major protection, now, is that we are not going to allow
multiple large aircraft to be turned into a coordinated attack force.
The problem is: What's next? We have watched these guys work up from
small bombs in crowded shops, to car bombs, to truck bombs, to ship
bombs, to jumbo jets as bombs. Those of us who develop new technology
have an obligation to look long and hard at how it can be misused. I
still do not agree with Bill Joy, but his comments about the willingness
of humans to intentionally do terrible things to each other are haunting
me.
