an A.I. pope or a transhuman one?

So, we have J.R. Molloy wanting to phase out religion, and Party of Citizens wanting to install an A.I. as pope when possible.

Clifford D. Simak wrote a novel about a robot becoming pope. I never read it, but due to POC's repeated bringing up the idea of a "robopope", I am going to have to.

But, maybe instead of an A.I. pope, what we need is the biochemical concoction called, "Holy Fire," which a 21st century pope drank in the novel by the same name.

He was transformed into a man of almost inhuman passion, intelligence, imagination and spirit. The church and entire world were stunned at the transformation.

We could all use a dose of Holy Fire!

best wishes,

John
