I agree. All of us can contribute to the safety and security of our own
neighborhood, just by keeping an eye out for ourselves and our
neighbors. Even if you have no applicable skills everyone has senses
honed from millions of years of evolution and can be adept at detecting
things out of the ordinary. I understand, for example, that human can
detect even a one millimeter difference in symmetry between the left and
right sides of another's face.
