Well Greg thats probably because i wasn't born until 1965. Had i been
around during
the late 1930's i would have been massively critical of particularly early
British and
European appeasement policy on Hitler. I've also never been too impressed
with the
amount of info the allies had about the death camps, which they did nothing
about.
But discussing WWW II issues is pretty pointless isn't it, i understand
Americans being sensitive
right now. But with huge shock of the events of Tuesday i hope comes a real
opportunity to really examine
some of the issues that have contributed to this event happening. I we (
the whole world ) doesn't do this are
so sure that this won't happen again.
To be completely honest i have been expecting some form of massive attack
on the USA since the mid 80's,
an event that i take no pleasure in expecting. Due primarily due to
successive US policies in other areas of the planet.
Many other National leaders around the world have warned the US that some
of it's policies would lead to further
violence for years.
And no am not making excuses for the carnage that was unleashed on Tuesday,
but things like that do
not happen in isolation. Whilst US policy makers stay wedded to the concept
of the "world Sheriff" these
kind of events ( mercifully probably on a smaller scale ) will continue to
occur.
