Excellent idea.

Assuming, you lose? Then you have only two options: rebellion in physical
space, or said "underground hacking". Both of them require long-term
planning and preparation. Notice that rebellion in physical space is
pretty much doomed without underground networks, and secure communication.

Good luck with your politics. Considering the public apathy, you're going
to need it.
