I'm as opposed to neo-Luddites as anyone here and have a better record than
most of debating them in public in a rapidly expanding body of academic and
professional publications.
However, it doesn't help to talk about "fascist luddites" any more than it
does to talk about "fascist corporations". The neo-Luddites tend to be
illiberal (I have classical liberalism in mind here). They are not, by and
large, fascists. We should avoid such lazy insults. It's not much better
than referring to opponents as Nazis.
