Was this the first news coverage of this take on globalization to
hit the US mass media?
Investigative journalists in the EU have been poking at this sore
tooth for sufficiently long now that it's making most of the public
nervous. "Foxes in charge of the hen-house" is EXACTLY how to describe
a lot of the pro-globalization lobbying that's been going on since
the collapse of the USSR -- what's been sold to us, the western
public, as necessary and good measures in support of free trade
has a very seamy underside.
