At 12:32 AM 8/14/01 -0700, various dithyrambos chorused:
>"don't care what color you are, don't
>let the sun set on your ass in _our_ town, 'Dolly'!"
Admirable and instantly inevitable sf signifier for clones in a hostile
world, nicely imbued as well with bestial and female/homosexual disdain
markers. Might steal it.
>> Would the cloned have rights, or would they be suspended? (same
>> fingerprint and much else from the DNA donor
Oh dear. Clones obviously would *not* have identical fingerprints, which
are developmentally stochastic (as are facial features to some extent).
Check yr friendly neighborhood twins. *They're not coming out of a
transporter beam*! (But then I asserted in THE JUDAS MANDALA that people
coming out of teleportation might well have stochastic reassemblage issues
as well, characterized by the irritating purple flash you perceive as your
senses recalibrate.)
