Um, no. Open source software is the software that ships with source, and a
license allowing you to modify and redistribute it.
I may or may not have an opinion on IP rights, but it is strictly
irrelevant to the issue.
Open source software pays, primarily because you're engaging in a non-zero
sum transaction, where freeloading doesn't bite since the reproduction
costs are carried by the freeloaders.
