Interesting how you simply dismiss the subject, in line with your beliefs.
Take a quick look at the countries that use welfare. They have managed to
give the poor a chance to get back into mainstream society. Contrast that
against countries with little or no welfare that have absolutely horrendous
poverty and suffering.
Yes, welfare has problems, but it is leaps and bounds ahead of ensuring a
permanent starving underclass.
