Funny, mine says "Service not available.". Must be a temporary disturbance
in The Force, or something. WoO0oOoO0! Here it goes again. Did you feel
it?
As to being stealthy, that makes no sense at all. We're currently
irrelevant, so the assumption is probably "beware of berserkers", but the
vulnerable phase is so very extremely short. Once you're a bit past
Singularity, you very soon reach your capability concentration plateau, if
we stick to plain scenarios ("merely" nanotechnology). Call it the Omega
degenerate condition, or something.
Your fitness gradient is gone. The amplitude of fitness fluctuations of
the node cloud and interaction window is the same as of the other guys. Us
is them. Fighting is pointless, unless you're in touching (direct weapon
interaction -- the losses on both sides will be very heavy, including
irreplacable resources as matter/energy) distance due to logistics
assymetry, stealthy or aggressive perversion is pointless due to absence
of noticeable fitness gradients (you at best overrun a niche, not the
whole ecology, and the interaction is symmetrical: you're as likely to get
overrun by the other guys as you overrun them).
The coevolution pressure will cause them to drive the computronium as hard
as the current energy limits are worth, which is a lot, given current
primate of energy over matter.
So, the simplest explanation (apart from the simulation hypothesis, which
is unfalsifyable) is that they're not there. We be the first kids on the
block. If we play smart, we'll be the things we're currently looking for,
and soon at that.
If we play dumb, we're self-terminating. So, there's some motivation to
play smart.
