Would you please explain how? As a participant in that
"war", I don't have that impression at all! Yes, some
people speak stridently from time to time about matters
they think important; and sometimes people even engage
in unfair argumentation---but not deliberately, for
heaven's sake. Why, I myself have actually over-reacted
on occasion! That hardly means I'm defying or acting
against extropian principles!

I'm starting to see an interesting pattern; some people
(not necessarily including you) see demur as aggression,
or at least see bold claims and strident language as
ad hominem.
Also, as soon as you see one person bashing another,
let me know---I'd be grateful
