Yes, I believe it is backed up. I'm sure Ronald Bailey (who has written
extensively on these issues) will have something to say about this on
Sunday afternoon at Extro-5. In addition to Ronald Bailey's writing, just
about anything by Julian Simon makes for a good counterbalance to
exaggerated claims of ecodoom.
