The law says parents, of either gender, are liable for child
support afaik.

If you want a real fine mess then you could have my situation.
By reason of changing sex a decade ago the court of the time
viewed me as some really wierd pervert that should not be
allowed to see my children. I dearly love them and would have
supported them in any case and have (and my slightly less than
together ex also) for all of these years. But I haven't been
allowed to see my babies (not babies any more to be sure) in 10
years. That broke my heart. It was by far the roughest part of
that journey. It still hurts. I have so much to share with
them!
