I failed to mention the most wide-spread cause of non-human animal death,
which is displacement of the animals through conversion of wild land to
agriculture, the blocking of migratory routes with fences, and so forth. For
this reason alone it seems dishonest to me for a person to claim they're
vegan because they don't believe in killing animals.
