Marie, I read thru your epistle and respectfully disagree with nearly
everything in it. I haven't the patience or the time currently to deal
with every point. I am glad that Mike Lorrey is on vacation however,
for this kind of talk sends that sensitive young man into LEO. {8^D
My notion of utopia: Free markets and little if any government
intervention will solve every problem in the long run. Power costs
cannot go much higher than they are now, for if they rise just half
again and stay there for any length of time, it enables many
alternates, some renewable, to come online. Then competition
increases and power costs drop.
This whole misadventure in Taxifornia is a government artifact,
and 90% of the blame goes to our so-called governor Red Davis.
Nothing will please me more than hurling him headlong out of
office for good, and the rest of his party with him. spike
