Cassini *should* have a Webcam so that we can see the vantage point of "We
are transhumans" as the Extropic Art Manifesto recedes ever-farther into
space. Perhaps you wouldn't see much most of the time, though it could be
made very interesting using augmented reality-type overlays (such as in
Distant Suns or other astronomy programs).
*Knowing* that a powerful extropic message is heading out into space is
wonderful. It would be even better if we could have even a limited
experience of going with it. Hmm, I wonder if any programmers on this List
would be able to hook up the Extropic Art Manfesto webpage with live
updating of a visual display of Cassini's position? Even better, of the
view from Cassini (without the webcam -- obviously reconstructed from an
astronomy program).
Thinking about this, making such a display available would be smart thing
for the ESA to do (and NASA on future launches). It would increase interest
in space projects.
So, any programmers out there up to the job?
Onward and Outward!
Max
