Iridium Satellite LLC has launched, and has bought the entire $5.5
billion Iridium satellite network from Iridium LLC for a total amount of
$25 million and has signed non-exclusive service agreements with 13
phone service providers. Retail service charges will be approximately
$1.50 a minute, compared to the $7/min charged by the earlier Iridium
LLC.
