Hee hee.
Actually I'm all in favor of having people order a copy of the Forge 2001
edition from their local or university library. That's how I get hold of
most books myself, after all, unless they arrive as review copies. And if I
like what I read that way, I'll often go buy the paperback when it comes
out, so I can have it on the shelf. (I *think* the current edition of THE
SPIKE is only available in hard cover.)
It's substantially updated and expanded, by the way, to take account of
post-1997 extrope geniuses like Robert Bradbury.
The book I'm waiting on most desperately is the revised edition of THE
DREAMING, which Fictionwise.com are preparing to offer as an e-book
download. That's the [slightly retitled] 1980 novel of mine that gets cited
on all the lists of SF Good Things, to my delight. I'll strut my stuff with
details when that happens.
