You inadvertently pointed out something I had missed. I do not
wish to patent "spikism" as referring to any of my own notions, for that
would detract from Damien Broderick's wonderful work. I hereby
relinquish the term spike to the author of the delightful and thought-
provoking book by that title, and furthermore I cede Jonesism to
Doug, so that referring to minimal Martian colonies will now take on
the ever-so-clumsy term spikejonesism. spike
